TIP: Turn on Dark Mode to enable darker display features across apps. Dark Mode is designed to make the screen easier on your eyes by reducing harsh and bright whites.

How to Adjust Your iPhone's Colour Temperature (Warm or Cool)

By using Night Shift, you can shift the colours in your display to the warmer end of the spectrum which will make viewing the screen easier on your eyes.

Turn on Night Shift in Control Centre
  1. Open control centre.
  2. Firmly press the Brightness control icon, then tap brightness icon to turn Night Shift on or off.

How to Prevent Your Screen From Dimming

iPhone screens are set by default to turn off quickly to save battery and to keep your data secure when not in use. However, this can be annoying if you're trying to use your phone for longer and your screen automatically shuts.

Adjust Auto-Lock in Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness
  2. Go to Auto-Lock tab and choose from the options

With the options, you have the choice to lock your phone from 30 seconds to Never.

When you set your Auto-Lock to 'Never', your screen won't lock until you manually turn it off using button on the side of your phone. This can be good to use if you're using a timer or looking up a recipe while cooking.

Keep in mind that your battery will drain much quicker if you set your Auto-Lock to 'Never' and that there is a chance that anyone who picks up your phone while it is unlocked can access your apps. Make sure to keep an eye on your phone and charge it regularly. Shop portable power banks here.
